Zay Flowers’ path to the NFL is a story of resilience, family, and hard-earned success.
Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Zay was the 11th of 14 siblings. He lost his mother at age 5 and later his older brother to violence — tragedies that shaped his mindset early on. Raised by a hardworking single father, Zay grew up in a tight-knit, competitive household that taught him discipline and grit.
Though only a 3-star recruit, he chose Boston College, where he broke school records and became one of the top receivers in the ACC. He turned down lucrative transfer and NIL offers, staying loyal to his team and focused on his growth.
In 2023, he was drafted in the 1st round by the Baltimore Ravens. As a rookie, he set franchise records and quickly became one of Lamar Jackson’s top targets — known for his speed, sharp route-running, and relentless drive.
Above all, Zay Flowers’ journey is about honoring his family, overcoming adversity, and proving that heart and hard work can take you anywhere.
